Visual conditions associated with dyslexia and ADHD
Did you know 1 in 4 individuals, including adults) have an undetected vision issue that can impact learning? In individuals with dyslexia, ADHD and similar learning-related conditions research shows as high as 80% of these individuals have an underlying visual issue that can cause learning to be more difficult. At OCVT, we treat these same learning-related issues in adults as we do with children because children who have learning-related conditions grow into adults with these same conditions. As we grow older, our demands and expectations only increase at school and work. For many of the children who are seen in our practice with learning-related visual needs, it can be common that parents will have similar struggles as genetics is a precursor for these function visual conditions.
